[United Pbess Association.] Wellington, March 29, The Appeal Committee of, the New 'Zealand Racing Conference have given | their decisions in, the following cases : —George Pell, disqualified for twelve months, and; Albert Whittaker,^ fortwo years, by, the Avondale Jockey Club, in connection with the riding of f Lucio at ■'. the meeting in September la'str The Appeal, Committee upheld the disqualifications, but considered the sentences should have been equal, therefore each is .disqualified for twelve months from December 16th last. - The deposits of Pell and Whittaker were refunded. The Appeal Committee supported the Auckland Racing Club in its refusal to disqualify Royal Soult in the racefor the Railway Handicap. As the appeal was deemed to be frivolous, thedeposit was ordered to be forfeited. The -appeal by-S. G. Lindsay and Mark, Ryan against .their disqualificatibnby the Avondalo Club in connection' with the running of Royal I Soult at the' September meeting was 'adjourned ; in the meantime the disqualification of Ryan to be suspended i until the final hearing of the appeal.
