BODY SOLD TO DOCTORS.
A revolting -story regarding the missing body of an old woman comes from Aberdeen. Mrs MacGregor, Gardiner's Lane, who has two married daughters, living in England, died in Old Mill poorhouse. The relatives wore informed that the body was buried in Nellfield Cemetery, but on enquiry they wore surprised to find that their mother had not been . buried there. Suspecting that the body had been, used for anatomical purposes, a son proceeded to Marischal College, where he was told he would receive the body on condition that the burial would have to take place at an early hour in the morning m the presence of only two witnesses, and that he must not ask to see the body, as it. was not recognisable Mr MacGregor would not accept any body under such conditions, and the College ;officials then informed him that they could do nothing for him, as certain cumbrous proceedings, necessitating legal negotiations in Edinburgh, would have to be fcone through before tho body could be identified . and handed over for interment. The Parish Council officials, interviewed, stated that as the body was not claimed it was sold for several pounds to" the College authorities.
