SCENE AT AN ENTERTAINMENT.

. Reeftori, March 23. An extraordinary scene was enacted at the Princess Theatre last night. Maskelyne and Devant' s Mystery Company were performing, and the "monkey" taking part in the cabinet tricky put its hand- playfully on a man. from the audience who -had volunteered iir response to the invitation of the company to watch theproceedings. .The man, eviden^.y frightened, .struck, the actor ; impersonating the ; monkey y _ and . commenced to _ run amok on the stage, hitting the witch, who, fortunately^ was impersonated by a man, and being stopped only by the severe rating of a lady member. The members of the company behaved admirably, but they state that it was a unique .experience. - The audience were greatly shocked.
