At a public meeting to-night it was decided to form a Greater Inyercargll Association with tlio object of creating and cultivating among the people of Invercargiirand the suburos an intelligent interest in the question of the union of the; Borough of Invercargill with the surburban bor ough, and to promote by open discussion, and any other legitimate way, such amalgamation. ■
