A few minutes after a lady had entered an eleolrie ear at Camberwell breen, Landon^a few days before Christmas, a little urchin* was seen racing behind, yelling frantically and waving his hand. The car stopped, and breathless from his long run handed the lady her purse; which she had dropped on the Toad. Opening it, the lady, apparently unable to find the com she wanted, emptied the contents into her hand, and it was seen that there was a heap of silver and gold. Then, with an air of condescension, she handed, tbe boy a penny, remarking, "Thank- you ; I am sorry I have no more eoppora.'* The effect was electrical; the other passengers BReedily made a collection for the lad, anfl— tfie lady left the car.
