Rome, March 2. The earthquake relief committee at Rome report that 18,500,000 lire have been 'collected. •■
• Correspondence showed that some remote villages in Calabria and Sicily had been forgotten or overlooked up till a fortnight ago. There have been many starving and shelterless in consequence.
