RIVAL FOOTBALL CLUB.

A special meeting oi the Rival Football Club wa's held in the Trocadero rooms last evening, taking the place of the usual committee meeting prior' to the annual general meeting. The object of the gathering was to discuss various matters relating to the Club, and to football in general. Correspondence was received from the Petone Clvb 1 and the Takaka seniors, in reference to games at Easter. It was resolved to play Petone on Easter Monday, and to suggest that Takaka come on the Saturday morning. . '■■ .

It was decided to table the following notices of motion for consideration at the annual meeting of the Nelson Rugby Union :• — . " ' 1. That the second junior competition be eliminated for the coming season.

'2. That the age. limit of the third class -players be reconsidered suggesting tne age of 18. or under from Ist May in each season.

3. That clubs be allowed to enter two teams_ in the third class competition, providing the players are under iiheJige specified. ' ■ ■ A vo^o : of thanks to the chair terminated the 'meeting. 7
