London/ Feb 25. In the House of Commons "Mr Wins? ton Churchill informed Mr J. Collings that observations had been invited from the principal Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations of the United Kingdom concerning ihe probable effect of the revised French' tariff. ; ; ;..... .' . He added that it was -undesirable at present to make a statement regarding any further action which might be found expedient or practicable, but the matter was receiving the most earnest attention of the Government. A statement would be made.
