JLarge bequests to his native town of W Pappeluna, Spain, are contained in g fche will or Senor Sarasate, the famous ■ violinist. He left to the School of f Music at Pampeluna his musical lib- 1 rary and £1000 to found an annual - 1 prize. He left £600 for the poor of the town, and to the Town Council he d bequeathed' his piano, two of his violins and his bows, jewels and decora- i bions to be exhibited at a special room. His famous 1724 Stradivarius violin, i gift from- Queen Isabella of Spain he left to the Paris Conservatoire of Music, where he received his first musical instruction and gained his first-. musical success. The Conservatoire ilso receives a sum of £800 for an aniual violin prize. To the Madrid Conservatoire of Music he left £4000 rbr the. same object. .
