NARROW ESCAPE OF A FAMILY. [United Pbess Association.] Auckland, Feb. 12. A seven-roomed house near Penirose, which was occupied by Mr Reilly, has bean destroyed/by fire. At i3"o' clock in the morning Mr and Mrs tßeilly "were awoke, when they smelt ! smoke. They found that the house iwas on fire, and they had only ' just jtime to secure their child, who was [sleeping in an adjoining room. They jescaped in very scant attire.
