SUPPOSED SUICIDE BY POISON.

[United Pbess Association.] WeUington, Feb. 12.. William Homewood, who was boarding at a house in Molesworth-street, Was found dead in his bedroom to-day tinder- circumstances pointing to suicide. ■■-. A quantity of headless matches was found on the floor and in a cup in the same room was discovered some blue sediment, supposed to be from dissolved - match-heads. Homewood had been out of work recently, and is said to have been depressed on the evening preceding his death.
