At the meeting of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board last night, Miss Goslin was appointed Matron, her appointment to date from April Ist Miss Goslin has occupied a similar position at the Reefton Hospital for the past sis years. Sergeant Patterson, of the Head- ] quarters Permanent Staff, -arrived in Nelson yesterday _morning for the purpose -of instructing the H Battery N.Z.F.A.V., and will remain until the conclusion of the Battery s camp. x The following are the names of the candidates from the Golden Bay district who have passed the Junior Civil Service examination :— Alexa Baifd, Takaka; Viola Annie Sigley,, Takaka : -Francis S.
