The Rugby Union Committee resplved that payment of three shillings a day to- members of the Australian and New Zealand teams to cover drinks at meals and other legitimate expenses, does not amount to professionalism. Nevertheless. in view of such payments being open to misconstruction and possible abuse, tbe Committee decided th?t tbe managers should pay such expenses in future.
