There was a fair entry of fat lambs, mostly of good to prime quality, but several lots were light aDd unfiiisiiod. There was good competition among tbe butohors, aod a few were bought for export at prices ranging trom 15s to 16s nd : prime lambs generally sold at 14; to 17s Gd ; a few heavier weights to 19s; aud lighter sorts at lis 9d to 13s Gd. There was a small yarding of fat sheep, a good proportion being primo wethers and ewos. Tbe export buyers wore not operating, but a buyer trom the West Coast added keannesu to the competition, and prices for prime sbeep woro rather firmer. The range of prices was: Woolly wethrrs 9d ; prime shorn wethers 16s to 18s; lighter 14s to 15s 6d; prime shorn ewos 14s ti IGs 2d; medium Us Gd to Ids Gd ; aged and ligiit &s Od tO lIS, Thero was a large yarding of store cattlo, includiug a largo lino from utag.->, ia poor condition. There was a good demand for forward steers and well grown young sorts, Out poor conditioned loto wore hard to sell.
