Tbe chairman reported on inspection by deputation of Rosenaale rond and stated that seven days' repairing bari been allowed. — The report was adopted. Resolutions passed. — That two days' raising gravel bo done on Harvey's road ; that the water-tab-ling be opened and ruts tilled on Valley 1 1 ill ; that necessary repairs be done at foot of Eggors' Hill, Rising Sun Valley; tbat the Waimea (Jounty Council bo written to applying f-.-r the services of tbe County Engineer to survey and lay off road deviiation, Kising San Valley; tnat tenders bo invited for wortfs on Neu« dorf road, and for building bridge on Gardner's road; that Mr (J. Ducker be given notice to cut the willows ove-hanging the road along his property, Nsudorf; tbnt tbe ford way at Ducker's Crepk be repaired ; that the Board tenders its congratulations tn Mr Grahnni on his return to Parliament; that tbe next mtioting be beld on Saturday, Decembpr 26fc!>, on account of holidays. Mr D. fciensemann proposed, and the cJbai rmao seconded, that the rate of pay fir tennis be raised to lla a day for one borso and 14s for twohorse teams respectively. Mr G. Bensemann moved as an amendment that the matter be deferrnd. till after hoppicking. Mr Drogemuller seconded the amendment, which whs carried For amendment : Messrs G. Bensemann, Drogomullor, A. bJensemann, and Harvey. Against: The Chairman aod D. Bensemann. Mr L>. Hensemann then gave notice of motion for i.ext meeting, that tbe amended resolution he rescinded, in order to give opportunity for further discussion of the matter.
