The granting of a dissolution to Sir Thomas Bent, State Premier^has created a surprise Mr Murray, who moved tba successful censure motion on behalf of the Country Party, declares that the action is unprecedented, and should be taken only when there is no onance of a stable Government being formed. ■ The leader of the Labour Party said the granting of a dissolution seemsd an extraordinary procedure, giving Sir Thomas Bent two chances. Sir Thomas Bont, in a speech at Bendigo, said *it was trus that he had bfaen defeated by his friends, and intriguing was going on ; but he was not going to take the beating lying down. Overtures had been made to him to go to the Labour Party to carry the LaDd Valuation Bill, and break up his own party, but he had replied, , "Go to you know where." He was not very polished on such occasions. The proper tbiu'g to do was to ask the people for a verdict.
