At the Hastings Magistrte's Oou on Saturday William Matthews pleaded guilty to a charge of having on December 6th, 1907, made a false declaratory before the Registrar of Births, Deaths, and Marriages, for the purpose of marrying Jane AlcCormack, his first wife being then alive.
