A conference of tbe Churches of Christ of tbe Middle .District of the Dominion commences in the Chapel, Waitnea street, at 9.30 a.m. 3 On the Maitai Bowling Green in j the afternoon a four-link irmuh will be played between tho New town j (Welliugton) and MnitaijjGlubs. ! TLree rinKs from the Picton Club i will play a match on the Nelson Green against throe riaks from the Nelson Club. The annual tea and public meeting in connection with the Rictmoud Baptiet Church will be held at Uichmdnd; SATURDAY. , Football matches will be played at Trafalgar Park and the Botanical reserve. On the former ground teams from the Albion Club will meet teams' from tho Solwyn and Fetone Clubs, the first match commencing at 2 p.m. An Association football match will be p'ayvd at the Botanical Reserve iv the forenoon. Three vinhs fnm tho Picton Bowliug Club will play a match against Ihive rinks of the Maitai players on the Maitai Green. On the .Nelson Gresn a match will ■o played between four rinks from 'ad Newtown Club. L:i the evening there will He a Xi.jljiic gathering in the Rechabifce I Hall, wtieri Mr J. J. Wesney, D.D. X., vvii) speak on No-License in Invemirgill. A i-oi!];Tl and dnm?e will be held in ithe Dmid3' Hall by the Albion Club in honor of visiting football teamp. EASTER SUNDAY. At the Theatre Royal on Sunday evening a sacred entertainment will be given by the Bvickingam Ihograph Company. EASTER MONDAY. The steamer Koi will run an excursion to Motueka, leaving Nelson at 8.30 a.iu.,f^ana returning from Motueka at 9 p.m. Th« autumn show of the Motueka Horticultural Society will be held in the Society's Hall, and the combined Friendly Societies will hold sports in the cricket ground. The anniversary of the Shedwood Lodge of Druids will be celebrated at Tapawera. The festivities will consist oi cricket, football, and shooting matches, luncheon and tea. mcl a concert in the evening, to be followed by a dance. Bowling matches will be played on tbe Nelson and Maitai Greens but arrangements will not be made until the arrival of the visiting bowlers. Rugby football matches will be played at Trafalgar Park and an Association game at the Botanical Reserve. Excursion fares will be charged on the railways, and the time table arranged affords ample facilities for holiday makers desirous of travailing from both en 5s of the section.
