SUREVYORS NEEDED.
Blenheim, April 14. j The Land Board to-day resolved to approach the Minister of Lands with a request for additional surveyors for Maryborough. It was pointed out that there wag much cut-out bush land, for which there was the keeneat demand by the right class of people, yet matters could not l:e dealt with simply for want of surveyors. It was stated at the meeting that there was a dearth of surveyors all over New Zealand, owing to the demand for thsm in making resumed land settlement and the native lands surveys.
