The flood in the Nainoi is receding, 1 but railway communication is still interrupted owing to washawavs.
Tbe damage to property and the Josses of stock are very severe.
The rescue work during the flood crovided some thrilling experiences.
At Weewan the water is still ris ing. Yesterday the residents were tamng refuge in buildings on the high ground, and business is completely suspended. The" railway is under water for miles.
The bodies oi two men are reported to be floating in the river at Tamwortb.
A family took refuge on a hay? ptack, where they ppent two days,
