THE LUMSDEN SENSATION.

Invercargill, March 20. The medical evidence at the inquest on Mrs Garthwaite, who was found dying near Lumsden, was to the effect that death was due to gastritis, brought on by drink and exposure to cold and wet. A verdict was returned accordingly.
