WAKATU MOUNTED RIFLES.
The Tapawera section of the Wakatu Mounted Rifles terminated its second week's training camp on Friday. Lieutenant Faulkner has been in charge, and the musters have been satisfactory. Staff SergeantMajor Redmond, who %is recognised as anoxpsrt instructor, has been indefatigable in working the squadron up in its duties. Captain NeJson. of the permanent staff, visited the squadron.
It is understood that some friction has arisen between the officers and men of tbe squadron and the headquarters staff, as a result of which it is reported that the officers are contemplating resigning from the service. It is to be hoped that no oxtrema action will be taken, as the section has always been actuated by great enthusiasm in its woilj.
