Dr. E. W. Naylo.s M.A.. of Cambridge, lias won the Ricordi prize of ,£SOO for the best English lyric opera. Dr. Naylor, who is Examiner for Degrees at the Cambridge, is a son of Dr. Naylor, of York Minster, and a nephew of Mr G. F. Naylor, of this city.
