ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
IvJr R. McKenzie, M.P., was asked i;o again . preside. He called for nominations for a Chief. On the motion of Mr G. Stewart, Mr -Robert Allan (Auckland drapery establishment) was elected unopposed as Chief. Mr Allan took the chair amidst rouridsj of applause. He invited nominations for- three Chief tains, after thanking thej members for "the honor they had conferred upon him. Messrs iiood, Hamilton, ■ McPber son (Waken'eld, ) W. Isrown, John Ingram (Richmond), and G. Stewarfcjwere nominated. On a fhal-'oi-being taken, Messrs Hood, Hamilton and W. Brown were declared elected. Mr R. Me Ken zip, M .P., declined^ nomination on account of his baing compelled to be absent from Nel^oi^'for a prolonged periud.
Mr William Murray was. declared elected unopposed as Secretary. Mr Thomas Brown was elected unopposed as Treasurer. Mesrss John Ingram (Kicbmond), ; McPherson (Wakefield), John Barrowman, G. Stewart, T. Kobb, and Samuel Tyson were elected as members of the Council, The highly successful rneeing clos- ' ed with Mr Murray playing a Scotch piece on the pipes.
