CRUELTY AND NEGLECT OF INFANTS.
1 Melbourne, February & An inquest on five babies on the premises of a registered nurse, repealed a shocking story of cruelty and neglect. Tbe little ones had been tied band and foot to prevetlt them front thro ving off their bedclothes^ andtbe /surroundings of the place were dirty. The coroner said the 'evidence wast not . sufficient to commit the nurse for manslaughter, but he hoped that she would be punished for cruelty.
