TUE SHARE MARKET: Per United Press Association. London, Jan. 29. At the wool auctions there is animated sale, and merinos are hardening. Crossbreds are very irregular. Silver is at 23jjgd a h ounce. Copper on spot is at £122 15s, and at three months £123 10s. Lead £11 i3s yd a ton. . Consols are at 85%. Bank of New Zealand 4 per cetit stock are at 101 At the tallow auctions .1428 casts were offered . and 157 sold. Fine mutton 35s 6d: medium 31s; fine beef 32s Gd ; medium 31a (3d: Messrs E. Buxton and Co., Ltd., Beg to report that they hiive received the following cablegram, from .their London .agents* dated 3lj)th inst. ■:.— ''Compared with closa of November sales, inferior merino, declined 5 to 10 per cent, market irregular ; greasy combings merino, good to extra good, advanced a shade ; other descriptions merino, declined 5 per cent : tine crossbred, jno change : medium crossbred, declined 10 per cent ; coarse* 5 per ceflt;' 1 *
