DROWNING FATALITY.
Auckland, January. 3o. | An inquest was held at Waiuku en Tuesday on tbe body of Alfred , Nealie,who was drowned at Waikato . Heads. It was shown that the 1 launch' in which tbe party had gone ,' outside the Heads intending to fish, I owing to an accident to the rudder, [ was riot thoroughly- under control ? but tbe passage across the bar, 'wad . considered 'safe for the occupants. ' Neali«s however, when approaching the bar, jumped up in a fright, and with an oar which he had been assisting in steering, threw himself overboard, and was drowned.
