Eight years ago Mr Burdekin was i appointed clerk to Mr Campbell, Inspector of Stock, at Nelson, and wes afterwards transferred to Wellington whore for five years he carried out fcho .dufcirs of Compiler of Agricultural and Pas'; ral Statistics. For private reasons Mr Burdekin resignfld frTii this division and twelve m tnths ago came to Nelson to the Ioc;al ufifica of the Stock Department. Mr Burc'ekin will remain in Nelson for soiiui months and at the beginning of the"year will pay an extended holiday visit to the Old Cquntry. .
