ALL SAINTS' SUNDAY SCHOOL

ENTERTAINMENT. | On July 31 there was a large attenc dance at All Saints' Schoolroom, when an entertainment was given by the young people connected with All Saints' Sunday School. The acting Vicar presided. Miss "Olive McGee opened the excellent and varied programme with a pianoforte solo, Master Bertie Trott, in character, sang "The Farmer's JRoy, " and was I re-called. A mandoline solo given by Miss Ella Wimsett had to be repoated. Miss Stallard was successful in her song. A whistling solo rendered by Mr Davis delighted the audience, and the psrformar had to give another exhibition of bis whist-

ling powers. Misses Wastney and Giblin had to repeat their charming duefc. Miss Rowe's violin solo won much appreciation. Miss Kathleen Bolton's recitation was well given. A quarttet by four boys received the encouragement of a recall, the piece being better sung the second time. An amusing sketch entitled "JMrs Jowley and her Household," was well given, creating some fun. Mrs Jowley (Miss Elsie Trott) introduced the members of her remarkable household, namely, Georgiana, the housemaid (Miss Stella Kicketts). with up-to-date notions, even to joining the Domestics Union; Molly, a charming milkmaid (Miss I. Fleming) : Mother Hubbard, with her dog of renown (Miss Jessie Trott); Two Little Girls » in Blue, who favored the audience with some vocalisation (Misses V. Hunter and I. Ricketts) ; Lady Jane, a stately lady representative of the Sixteenth Century (Miss F. Fleming): Topsy, a capital reproduction of the original of "Uncle Toms Cabin (Miss M. Nelson); Japanese Sisters, who sang and acted with spirit (Misses] A. Trott, A. Brough and fl. Kicketts). Misses K. Stallard (piano) and Rowe (violin) did excellent work in accompanying. At the close of the most enjoyable programme, an abundance of refreshments was provided. The proceedings closed with the singing of the National Anthem, afier a hearty vote of thanks was carried by rounds of acclamation to the young people for their splendid entertainment.
