LABOR TROUBLES.
London, August 18. " The Shipbuilding Employers' Federation has given a week's notice to 50,000 members of the Boilermakers' Society in the shipbuilding yards on the Tyne and Clyde, and at Wear, Barrow-on-FurneßS, and Belfast, in consequence of the Boilermakers' Society refusing to instruot the caulkers at Armstrong yards, Newcastle, to return to work after striking without notice. The action of the Employers' Federation has created surprise and consternation among the men.
