MAN ALSO CONFESSES. Received August 14, 11.17 p.m. Paris, August 14. Goold has confessed to the Magistrate that on the day before the murder Mrs Levin asked him to lend her 500 francs. She came to the villa, and he paid her the money, when she asked for another 500, explaining that she wanted to give it to her banker. He refused, when heated words followed, and in a fit of rage, accentuated by drink, he stabbed her in the back, only one blow. His wife did not participate.
