TARANAKI POULTRY SHOW.

New Plymouth, July 25. The Taranaki Poultry, Pigeon and Canary Society's annual'show opened to-day. Owing to three well-known breeders having given up showing for a time the entries were not so numerous, and the poultry not so good generally as heretofore. Tho North Island Championships were allotted— Game, Balck Red cock, N. Oldbani, of Marton; Buff Leghorn pullet, S. J. A. Hickling of Mangaho; plain headed Norwich canary, S, .Brooks, of New Plymouth, with K. L. Bethune, Wellington, reserve champion.
