NELSON RUGBY UNION.
A meeting of the Management Committee was held at Stallard's rooms last evening. Present : Messrs G. Shrimpton (Chairman), J. Hurley, W. Cannington, Smith, H. Nalder,:Bisbop, G. Stapp, H. Hall, (Hop Seoretary),and F, P. Kitehing (assistant Hon. Sec). Minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. A letter was received from the Marlborough Rugby Union suggesting either August 7th or 10th for their an n uaL matct -at^Nelson. ttws season. Resolved that they be asked to postpone their visit for a fortnight if possible, otherwise Saturday, August 10th would be the most suitable to i this Union. Resolved that the third class fixture Huia v Albion set down for last Saturday be forfeited to the Albion Club. ....:.■ The Secretary was instructed to write to the Huia Club warning them as to the behaviour of spectators on the football ground at Motueka. Resolved that only the members of Executive N.R.U., selector and , Press representatives be allowed on the touch line duringthe progress of matches at Trafalgar Park. tftie Secretary reported that he had arranged for a second junior team to play Golden Bay junior team next Saturday week. Entries close for the junior and third class Seven-a-side Tournament on Wednesday, July 31st, at 1 p.m. The Second Junior fixture Waimea v. Riwaka set down for Saturday next was postponed. The Secretary was instructed to write, to the West Coast JJugby Union asking them to arrange a matoh at Nelson if possible in the event of their representatives visiting Marlborough. The application of the Rival Club to have A. Sandel placed on 'their senior classification list was granted. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting. Referees for Saturday next were appointed as follows : — Senior, Albion v. Nelson, Park I : Mr G. Logan. Junior, Rival 7. Waimea, Richmond :' Mr H. Nalder. Second Junor, Huia v. Albion, Motueka : Mr Boundy. Thrd Class, Rival v. College, Park 3 p.m. : Mr Atkinson.
