FIRES.

Weatport, July 21. A bush fire is raging at Seddonville. The Masonic Hotel caught alight, but the flames were extinguished. Masterton, July 21. A fire yesterday morning guttered the premises of Walker and Thomas' boot shop, Young, tobacconist, and Reboy, restaurant keeper and provision merchant, and damaged the upstairs part of Maltby's shooting gallery. The destroyed buildings were valued at £2000 and were in sured for £1080. The insurances on the property are moslty small. Some of the occupants of the buildingshad difficulty in escaping. Later, The insurances on the fire are: Thompson, £195 in the Australian Alliance office, £95 in the New Zealand; Monro, owner of the buildings, £150 in the North British ; £100 in the North Queensland, £300 in the Northern, £200 in the Alliance, Hollo way, £350 in the Northern; Young, £100 in the South British.
