A CONVICTION QUASHED.

Dunedin, June 20 In the appeal case of Henry Augustus Scott, who was fined £10 with costs , for engaging in the unlawful game of two-up, Mr Justice Williams has quashed the conviction. New evidence was produced at the heariag of the appeal, and that evidence created a doubt, which Mr Justice Williams said Scott must receive the benefit of.
