DEATH BY DROWNING NEAR LONGFORD.

Murchiason, June 17.

A man named Michael Quinn was found drowned to-day in the Buller river, near Longford. On Saturday he was seen wandering aimlessly about between Longford and Neame's place. Constable Hammond searched the neighborhood on Saturday evening and on Sunday, but without ficding any traces of him. To-day a search party found his cap andahiit near the river bank, and at h lata houv his body was found nsar Gibhs' farm. The deceased was about forty years of age, and he had been employed at the Lake Station until recently.
