Mr John N. Nalder, formerly of Nelson, has been appointed Registrar of Electors for Westland:

Dr. James Hudson, formerly of NeMon. and now lesidingat ladmor, has been appointed Lodge Surgeon of the Shedwood Lodge of Druids, Tapawera. It is learnt that Mr F. N. Jones, senior, h_ts resigned the position of President Of the Nelson Defence Rifle Club; Mr Jones has been an active and enthusiastic member of the Club since its inception, and ivi.eulberd generally will ie_ret thafc circumstances have arisen which have compelled him fco sever his connection with the Club. Mr James Mills, an old journalist, is at present Visiting Nelson in connection with an llustrated Bradshaw Guide of Nelson, Marlborough and Westland, he proposes shortly to publish. Sir J. G.
