CHURCH OF CHRIST, WAIMEA STREET.

A sale of work was held on May Ist by the young people of the Excelsior Class. Mr J. J. Franklyu, in opening the sale, stated that the young people had been working some months making the goods on sale and trusted the buyers and sellers would be benefited. The following young ladies presided at the stalls: Plain and fancy goods : Misses Dickens and A. Jennings. Art: Miss G. f Jennings. Ferns apd Flowers: Misses Hayes and Nurris. Sweets: Misses Bell and Page. Tea Kiosk: Miss Pitts and Mrs G. Page junr. Produce: Masters Baberfald and Boyes. During theeveoing members of the Church contributed songs and recitations. The result of the sale was highly satisfactory, a substantial amount being added to the building fund, this being the object of the sale. The best thanks of the Church are tendered to all who in any way holped to make the sale a success.
