NELSON SCHOOL OF MUSIC
TERM CONCERT.
The usual term concert by pupiU attending the Nelson School of Music was given last evening, when despite the wet weather there was a large attendance. The pupils acquit ted themselves in a manner that reflected the highest credit on th" teaching staff of the institution, and their efforts were deservedly apreciated. The following programmu wns submitted — Violin quartsfctp, Allegro Moderato (Lachner), Misses i. Rowe, H. Jacobs and K. Fairball; piano solo, '.'Rondo," (Beethoven), Miss Nellie Vaughan ; concerto for two violins, in D Minor, LargettoVivace (Bach), Missne M. Flett and C. Rowe; piano solo, Novellette in F. Major (Schumann), Miss EHayter; violin solo, Mazur (Mly. narsky), Miss K. Fairball ; two lyrics (a) "Wake up My Nestling," (b) "Wild Rose" (Ed. German), Miss W. Hanby; piano solo, "A Tramp Abroad" (Mullen), Miss Isa Chappie; violin duet, "Romanze et Tirolienne" (Danby). Misses A. Bleohynden and Q. Frank; soap, "The Lass with the Delicate Air" (D. Arne), Miss H. Phillips; piano solo, Sonate in Bb (Beethoven), Miss H Kempthorne; violin solo, Concertino in Hungarian Style (Oscar Rieding). Miss B, Morrison ; vocal trio. "Hearts feel that Love Thee" (Mendelssohn), Misses H. Kemptborne, W. Hanby, H. Phillips. A new small concert grand piano, which has been purchased by the Trustees, was used for the first time last evening, and the tone of the instrument was much appreciated.
