Those interested in reforming the Wai- i it Literary Society met, iii the State School Room on Thursday evening last, Mr Edridge presided. It was unanimously resolved to open another session. The officers of the Society were elected as follows: President— Mr Leonard Hoult; Vice-. Presidents— Messrs Louis Houlfc- oD " B. P. Cropp; Commifctpoj j- Misses O'Brien, B. Honlt; Messrs P. Batt,S. Hoult »»<i I-' Tunnicliffe; Secretary and Treasurer Miss Lammas; Assistant Secretary— Miss Ruth Hoult. Several rules were altered to suit circumstances, and it wa9 decided to meet every Friday evening, commencing on 10th May. A syllabus wan drawn up for approval, and the meeting was adjourned for a week.
