OTAGO EMPLOYERS' ASSOOIATION
Dunedin, Macrh 6 The Otago Employers Association after considering the question of the slaughtermen's strike agreed to forward the Association's opinion thereon to the N. Z. Employers Federa. tion so that the question might be dealt with as from one body. The opinion was generally expressed that unless the awards of the Arbitration Court can be made enforceable against workers it was of no value to employers. At the request of the Advisory Board of the N.Z Employers Federation the Asociation agreed that there their Secretary (Mr W. Scott) should proceed to Auckland, after attending the sitting of the Arbitration Court on the West Coast, in the matter of the Westport coal dispute, and there represent the employers in the tramway dispute and also in the gold mining dispute.
