Received January 27, 12.55 a.m. Sydney, January 25 In addition to the names already mentioned as delegates to the Navigation Conference, Mr Hughes, who was a member of Mr Watson's Cabinet, has been asked by the Commonwealth Government, also to go. "The appointment of Messrs Watson and Hughes to the Conference may be regarded as an indication of a rapproachrnent between Mr Deakin's party and the Federal Labor Party, with a view to keeping the present Government in office.
