CHRIST CHURCH LADIES' s GUILD BAZAAR, a y The bazaar and sale of work now being held in connection "with the 1 Christ Church Ladies' Guild bazaar, £ was opened at • the Palace Skating 1 Rink on December sth. Bolton. cut flowers; Mrs Barr, Mrs Allan, and Mrs Styche, table decorations and trimmed hats. The prize list ia appended!— Twelve roses, Mrs A. R. Hitching 1; six roses, Mrs Izard 1 ; collection sweet peas, Mrs P. Bond 1, Mrs W. Harley 2; collection carnations, Mrs Izard 1; prettiest hat decorated with natural flowers, Miss Huddleston 1 ; table decoration, Miss M. Cock 1; sponge roll, Miss R. Allen ; assortment of cakeg, Miss F. Maginnity; fruitcake, Mrs Maginnity ; decorated cake, Miss L. Elarvey. Last evening the Palace Rink was crowded, and splendid business was done at the stalk Action songs were given by a number of children, under the direction of the Misses Wright, and these were much appreciated and warmly applauded. Master Ken Liyick, a very small boy, gave a recitation in an admirable manner, and was heartily encored. The "Toy Symphony" was rendered by the orchestra, under the conductorship of Herr Lemni''-, and surae sweet music was extract... i from the quaint musical instruments, landsman Hansen also contributed a horn solo, which concluded the musical programme. The "Art Gallery" was thronged all the evening, and the tea kiosk attracted large crowds. Before the bazaar opened, the Garrison Band played a number of selections outside the Rink.
