PROMOTIONS AND CHANGES.
Wellington, December 16. The Postmaster-General announces the following promotions and changes as from January 1st — W. R; Morria, to bo Controller and A6countant in the piace of Gr. Gray, retoired : J. L. H. Ledger to be Assistant Oontroler: and I], A. R. Higgins to take Ledger's place as first clerk. Accountant branch. ;|D. Cumming, now Chief Postmaster at Auckland, promoted to be Inspeotor of Post Offices. F. D. Holdsworth promoted from New Plymouth to be Chief Postmaster at Auckland; and W. J. Chancy to be Chief Postmaster at New Plymouth. G. B. Dall, of Dunedin, promoted to be Assistant Inspector of Post Offices, central district; and W. T. Ward to go to Dunedin to takeDalPs place as Chief Clerk. E. Northcroft, of Blenheim, goes to be Chief Postmaster at Invercargill; and W. S. G. Douglns goes to be Chief Postmaster at Dunedin. Other changes have yet to be settled.
