WAKEFIELD.
(From Our Own Correspondent. ) WAIMEA SOUTH RIFLE CLUB. The Waimea South Rifle Club held the second competition for Messrs E. Buxtons and Co. 's trophy on Saturday last at the Brightwater butts. The conditions were 7 shots (with the option of a sighter), each at 500 and 600" yards. Rifleman W. Hyde's score of 34 at 600 yards is worthy of note, while Rifleman E. Painton secured a legin, making the good score of 32 at 600 yards. The following are the scores from 59 upwards:— 500 600 hp. tl. E. Painton .. . . 27 32 6 65 J. Eden .. .. 28 28 9 65 J. W.
