i At the monthly meeting, of the above nanied Council op Thursday ! evening, the Vice-Presidenti presiding, owing to the illness of the President. The reply. received from the .Hospital and Charitable Aid tioßth being deemed unsatisfactory, the delegates instructed the Secretary to 1 write to the Inspector of Hospitals and place the matter before him. Regarding the statement that the Secretary for Labor had instructed the officers of his Department to forward all cases of breaches to the Secetary of the Employers' Association, the Hon. J. A. Millar replied that, the statement had no foundation in fact, and tnafc no such orders had been gh'on.' . .. . ; Considerable discussion took pfaoe. over the statements made by some of the members of the Hospital and Charitable Aid Board respecting the cost of living, etc. The Executive Officers were empowered to reply thereto.
