CHARGE OF MURDER.
Dunedin, October 5,
The hearing of the charge against James Reynolds Hayne, chemist, that he did, on 12th September, kill and slay one Margaret Kendrick, was concluded to-day. Evidence submitted was much the same a,s at the inquest. Accused was committed for trial. A request for bail was refused. Mr Graham, S.M., refused to take the responsibility of allowing bail, one reason being that when arrested accused carried a loaded revolver. ,
