AN APPEAL CASE. t] Wellington, September 20. ? The Chief Justice heard argument 1] to-day in the case of Messrs Barr, Leary and C0., 0f Wellington, against -" George Hall, of Takaka. Hall was .« sued in the Magisfiate's Court at Wellington by Mes-rs Barr, Leary apd Co. for £45, bt ing foi commission at the rate of live per cent, on £ £900, the price realised by the sale of defendant's tramway and plant. Dr McArthur, S.M., gave judgment ° for the defendant, mainly upon the s ground that the plaintiff acted as ° agents for the purchasers, and not n for the vendor. The plaintiffs now " appealed against the depision. His 1 Honor reserved his decision. "
