MAN KILLED ON A TRAMLINE.

Dunedin, July 22. The body of a man, who was killed on the Roalyn tramway line by being partly run over, while he was lying on the line, has been identic fied aa that of Calvert Sands, a cloth finisher, who was a single man, and aged about 37. Deceased was of somewhat intemperate habits. He had travelled on an earlier car, when he was under the influence of liquor, but was quiet, and was apparently in charge of another man. After leaving the car he must have fol lowed the tram line down tbe steep descent into the Kaikorai Valley, and either have fallen or laid down on the line. At the inquest a verdict of accidentally killed was returned, and that no blame was attachable to anyone.
