Sydney, July 20. Brown, the murderer of the O'Keefes and Gillick, told an interviewer that the oaths of the White Australia Society were so stringent that he would hang before he would give the names of associates. He said he had been selected to steal Mr O'KeefeVbank fcbooks in order to raise funds. He used a sand-bag on Mrs O'Keefe, intending only to render her insensible, but the bag burst. Iri defending herself she cut his neck with fa~ bottle. Brown alleged that ho could have killed Tim O'Keefe, but wished only to stun him.
